About the Company This is an early-stage company reinventing how in-house legal teams operate — replacing slow, repetitive manual processes with an AI-native platform for intake, triage, execution, fulfillment, and measurement of legal work, across email, messaging, and the tools teams already use. About the Role Design has been central since day one. They're looking for a design leader with a strong opinion on the shape of the product experience — someone who can help chart the path forward, not just execute on it. You'll collaborate directly with the CTO and COO, co-founders, and engineers who care deeply about building a novel user experience. What You'll Do Collaborate cross-functionally to design, build, and iterate on core product features Own product work end-to-end — from problem definition and concept exploration through launch and iteration, not just handoff As the first dedicated design hire, establish the design system and processes that ensure a consistent, seamless product experience Improve how the team solicits and incorporates customer feedback directly into the product Build the design team and culture from the ground up alongside the co-founders What You Bring 6+ years of experience as a Product Designer or related role in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment Front-end development experience or willingness to code with AI tools Demonstrated track record of entrepreneurship or success in unstructured environments — hungry, low ego, and generative Empathy to understand what a customer is feeling and the emotional intelligence to know what would feel natural to them A vision for how design will evolve in the AI age — combining traditional craft with forward-thinking perspective
What we are looking for
- 6+ years of experience designing and shipping polished, high-quality products
- High growth stage startup experience with hands-on, fast-paced output
- A world-class portfolio that showcases strong interaction, visual, and systems design
- Deep understanding of user-centered design and a sharp eye for detail
- Strong visual design “eye” with a minimalistic, low-cognitive-load approach
- Comfort owning end-to-end design and working cross-functionally with founders, product, eng, and GTM
- Background in companies known for exceptional design execution — ideally Linear, Notion, Figma, Stripe, Superhuman, Dropbox, or Airbnb
- Front-end development experience or willingness to code with AI tools, preferred
- Active engagement with design community (Eg: X, LinkedIn posts, perspectives)
